Help ! I have MPC3000 & want the MPC4000 ! Anyone Traded up?

Has Anyone traded from a MP3k to a MP4k ? Does the MPC4k Read the MPC3k files correctly? I love my Mpc3000 but . . . .

Im Outgrowing 32MB of memory
I need the ability to chop up samples easier
I have a SCSI Zip Drive thats gonna DIE any day now
I want Access to all my sounds Immediately. I still have floppies . . . yeah . . FLOPPIES !

I was thinking of doing like Dr Dre and getting another MPC3000 but Nah .

The MPC1000 is out of the question, Im a Grown Ass Man & need outputs of a PRO machine

Roland Fantom-S 61 key (fantom x is prettier for the same sounds)
Yamaha AW4416 - 16 Track ( Getting Tired of this too )
Reason 2.5, Wavelab 5, Nuendo 2

I should scrap all this shit and get Sampletank 2 XL & a Laptop with Logic !

The problems have been/are in the new operating systems which are still in beta stage , so it's to be expected there are still some minnor problems (which are being fixed), OS 1.51 is stable.

Yeah I just sold my 3000 to upgrade. I don't regret it. The learning curve

is not too bad.

actually traded down to the new blue mpc2000xl w/ internal zip. gives u keyboard mapping of samples (like 4000), has tilt screen and o/s is stable, scsi port on back, 32mb. Just no internal hd. I made my decision after working in a studio that had all of them (3000, 2000xl, 4000) for 4 days straight. Songs on my zips from 3000 opened flawlessly in mpc2000. On the 4000 I had to do some adjustments to filters and, most of the time, pad assignments

Anyone else upgraded from MPC3k to MPC4k ? I have a Large Library of BangingBeats.com Floppies and I want to make sure I can use them.

Can you believe I went to Guitar Center on 14th street (NYC) and they didnt even know what a MPC3000 was !!?? They Hire anyone !
