Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

One of my pads looks like it has come up from underneath the casing. Not sure how it happened, but now the pad is kind of protruding out like and you can see from the corner down underneath the pad. i''ve tried to maneuver the pad back into position, but I'll need to remove the casing to do it. I have added both memory and adat cards before so I am familiar with how to remove the case. I'm just not sure after the initial casing is removed, how to get to the pads? Can someone help me out here? I need to get this fixed ASAP!

Thanks

Never done it yet but I'm pretty sure it'd be in the service manual? Which has been posted in here or is at the yahoo mpc4k yawn group...

Yes, the procedure to remove the top casing is definitely shown in the service manual.

I was able to find a manual with instructions on how to remove the case. Problem is I'm not sure what kind of bit for my screwdriver to use. Anyone know what kind of screwhead or bit I need to use?

Thanks

They will sell them at any decent erm- Hardware store, if that what you americans call it, if you're in the Uk just nip down to B&Q or wicks
