I need the previous version of Akaisys,

2.53 is crashing all the time over here, its impossible to work with. The previous version of akaisy ran far better then this. Is there anywhere i can download the previous version?? Its no longer on teh akai website

Where did you get the previous version from? It should be on the Aksys cd rom that came with the MPC. That's assuming you got the older cd rom, and if you still have it.

Mo , Have u checked your PC out - no irq conflicts -virus - usb drivers (xp pro sp1 has usb driver 2 inclu) - cable ?
Maybe reformat and load Aksys only first ?

Are you sure your using Aksys and not Mesa ? joke

Its mad to audition a sample by highlighting a sample in Aksys than hitting the spacebar + double clicking on a sample & it opens up in your favourite wave editor , no mucking around .

Nah, i installed it on a brand clean computer (a Dell) so that cant be it.

What might have happened is that the usb connectors on the mpc are damaged.
