Have any of you had any problems loading your MPC 4000 to it's full memory capacity (512mb)?Does the machine seem to function any slower etc...ALso do any of you use multisamples? How much memory does one multisampled piano or bass etc require.I am currently using an MPC 60 which is fine for sampling and sequencing drums and other external equipment but when it comes to say chopping samples and using longer sounds it runs out of memory quick(it only has 26 seconds of sample time). Also do any of you use the CD drive to archive, backup or what not and exactly how much does one CD hold.Like a 3.5 floppy holds maybe 1.5 mb how many megs can a CD hold.I really like my MPC 60 but I have run out of things to do with it and pretty much everything that I do takes so much longer because of the limited sampling capabilites of the machine.I have used all of the other MPC's and they are great but I am really into sampling any thing and everything and the other models just don't hack it in the sample engine department. The 4000 functions as the other models do but is also a full fledged sampler. You see right know I use the MPC 60 by itself but to do what I want I have to go buy an external sampler.I much prefer having everything in one machine so it makes recalling songs and stuff alot easier because I won't have to load information on 2 or 3 diffrent machines to get my songs to play.I've got about 600 3.5" floppy disk for my MPC 60 and I am starting to lose and misplace good songs and sounds because there are so many of them.
