i have owned a MPC4000 for about 6 months now and now that the new v.1.40 update has been released I'm looking to implement it into my studio setup. The only thing that has been keeping me from doing this however is that I can't figure out how to do pitching changes on my samples like in the MPC2000XL. Someone?....Anyone?......Thanxs

It's very annoying to me too that you dont have the simple old way of 16 pitches, but there is a workaround. You have to assign the sound that you want to have 16 pitches to a new KEYGROUP program. On the default setting this will span that 1 sample all the way across the keyboard (or pads) so now you have 96 levels of pitch (using the Pad Bank keys). You can also use the q-link knobs or sliders to pitch the sample the pad or the program, if you like to pitch that way.
