How to program pad stab time length?

Simply put: so that when I trigger/play a pad, the sample plays for a certain amount of time (customized to my choice), rather than full length or for however long held.

Off-topic: You've probably come across it already but, see when you got a sequence going on SEQ EDIT? As the SEQ is playing go to SAMPLE, and scroll down all your loaded sounds. It plays them each as if in arpeggiator mode hear what you like? Rec it, flip it and bam! Go you an original track or two. Pretty handy when creativity is lagging.
