MPC Questions. Record multiple sequences all at once?

I own a mpc2000 but almost there ready to upgrade to MPC4000

I was half asleep and half awake and thought,
Is it possible to record multiple sequences all at onces?
I mean, Let's say I have 4-pads with kick, snare, high hat, another h-h
Now can I have all 4 pads assigned to different Sequencer so when I play a beat and record, I have recorded indvidual seuqnce with individual pad?

I don't think that it is possible to do it that way but i think there is a
function where you can split a track into different tracks for each note.
ie it won't automatically split it for you but can be split after recording..

i am also new to the mpc so can't give you specific method...
