Am I doing something wrong ?

I want to adjust pad senstivity on the 4000, for this I go into pad assign, sens screen and adjust the pads to lets say 200.

This works and the velocity feels/shows much higher when using the pads, after power-off I check back again and its showing 200% but when i hit pads it doesnt feel or show me that it is the same sens as when i changed it before.

Whats interesting is that when i change it to 199% it instantly feels more sensitive.

AM i doing something wrong OR Is this a general issue OR issue with my machine

Appreciate the feedback

Peace

It could anything from the pads themselves, (Corx might fix that), to the pad sensor.

The good news is that if you're trying to get full velocity, there is a button to the left of the pads called FULL LEVEL that will make that happen for you. Also, if you are stickler for exact sensitivity use the 16 LEVELS button!!!

Personally, I think nothing is wrong with your machine. To get full velocity on every note you will have to hit them hard, but this kills the patient. That's why those buttons have been on every MPC ever made!

Hi Mike,

I agree that the sensitivity may just be what it is. There is definitely something wrong as the 200% setting (whilst appreciating your view that you do not find that setting useful) is not saved correctly.

Can we get a 2nd test on this, labcoats ??!! pls take a look
