this machine can be an all in one machine.the issue that trips me is ,that you all fight that from happening.I dont get it.If im buying a car and the salesman tells me,"I gonna throw in a free $800 navigation system and some other options just because I like you".Im not gonna turn it down,even if I dont need it/want it .whats the deal!!?FOR 1!MOST OF US WHO USE MPCS'DONT USE THEM IN LIVE SITUATIONS.most of us that make beats do it 4 the love of music and/or with the hope of one day selling our tracks 4 major $$$$$$green,OR,ARE ALREADY GETTING IT.Period!now if I can get a synth,a full spec sampler,a way to track vocals as well record live instruments, the best seq u can get,and to top it off, a way to put it all on cd ,so I can let the people with the $$$green$$$ hear it.WHY!NOT! WHY BUY A $4000 DOLLAR HD RECORDER,A $1200 COMPUTER,AND UNTOLD OF $$$TONS$$$ 4 OTHER GEAR.WHEN WE COULD have 1 piece.(some of us dont have the space or money 4 that)I know I would love(and a lot of other people)to be able to make a beat ,add vocals,then burn a cd in 1 box,Sh&T!why not!!!as 4 the the speed of the machine I'm with you,It could be a lot faster.(especially since there's a intel chip doing the work).all yall out there who bought a 4000 to make tracks,(hiphop r&b,ect)dont let people in another genre/another music type(house,tecno,d$b,acid,rock,etc,etc). tell u what u need!(It should be a colaboration)respect to both davids and all you out there.but if your into the live thing why go with something new and unproven,(that doesn't seem competent) why not something stable ,like a roland 505 groovebox or even a 2000xl with current o.s.when the 4000 first droped ,AKAI had a showcase at Sam Ash.the guy there said the 4000 would have 2 tracks of hd recording (in addition to hd sampling etc,etc.audio burning)HOW SELFISH OF U!! just because u have the $doe$ or the gear to do this anyway,why,excluded us,the less fortunate.AKAI do right 4 once,GIVE US FREE!GIVE US FREE!!!people with that(why not buy another piece of gear to do it)mentallity is the reson why AKAI can keep f@%kin us!PUT THE FEATURES WE WANT AND NEED AKAI. PLEASE!DONT GET IT CONFUSED THE 4000 IS ABOUT BEATMAKING,THATS WHAT I'M ABOUT,WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Yo kid quit hitting that pipe you want an all in one machine get a computer. Akai don't even answer their tech phones let alone give a sh*t about giving you something for free. Anyone with experience with the company knows that the mpc's are not at the top of Akai'a list of important things to do. but we work with them cuz the MPCs do their jobs well when we turn em on. I doubt Akai reps visit this board frequently, if at all so your comments are probably falling on deaf ears. I mean get your money and all that, but don't complain just get in your studio and work it out you'll get yours player peace

The more $$$ you get, the more you convince yourself that you need the next piece of gear. But your still not satisfied once you get it. So just chill....make beats and maybe a nice pile of papers will fall on you. Then you can get everything you want. Take it form a recovering Gearoholic
