Whats best way to do it.......

Hey, when you guys sample into the 4000 off of cd not turntables...do you guys chop the samples and then load them up into the 4000 or load a whole song all at once?!!

Record whole sample, then transfer via aksys to recycle to chop and manipulate, transfer back to MP, very quick

I play the CD within the 4K and digitally sample the parts I want. You need the S/PDIF expansion board to do this though.

As an added bonus, if you know the BPM, you can divide your sample into specified regions, 8, 16, 32, and ask it to save as a new sequence ala recycle. I use this method a lot mainly for recorded bass/guitar, and it works quite well, just thought I'd add!
