Sluggish response mpc4000 with os1.71

My mpc4k responses slowly to buttons, especially scrolling true the MAIN page.
its like there is a lag when going from one menu to the next. This happens even with very small ram use.

Might os1.71 have something to do with it?
What can i do about this? i have experienced my mpc to function much more smoothly than this.

did you just install 1.71? maybe try a re-install or an older version and see what happens.

for what it's worth i do not have this issue with 1.71. my hd is wiped and ram is brand new.

which previous os will be the most stable without losing too much functionality?

I doubt that you'll have a better experience with an older os. I think it's more of a hardware issue myself.
