I've been trying to figure out whether this is possible for a while with no success.
Say for instance you have a load of EMU samples i.e. a folder for EMU drums, one for EMU synths, one for EMU basses, is it possible to create a folder on the 4000's route directory and move all the EMU related folders into one folder.
I've tried dragging folders onto each other as you do in a Mac or PC to consolidate with so success. The only other ways I have been able to do it is to take all the folders off the hard drive via Aksys, consolidate them on computer and move them back to the MP. But, that's long, especially with the 4K's slow transfer rate.
I thought also of buying a hard drive kit, taking the hard drive out and putting it in the computer and organising that way - but again it's a lot of hassle for something that should be, or is, a very simple operation. Any advice would be welcomed.
