Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

i am really torn between the 2000xl and the 4000... the 2000xl is proven and cheaper but i am looking for it to be the centerpiece of my studio, and the 4000 seems to have the options that i am looking for... i need it to do a lot and like i said it will be the centerpiece in my studio so i need it to be a beast... thankx much yall...

it's a matter of taste but if you, like me, want to make it the centre peice
of your studio, go for the 4000. the memory is a big factor as well as the large screen, 24 bit, step eediting etc....

The grid editing is a huge feature, memory, 4 midi outputs. If you have the money for a 4K, there should be no discussion. The only reason you would opt for a 2KXL is for money issues, there are just too many positive upgrades there.

Plus, the mpc4000 is just the 2000XL but with everything better IMO, its not like they come with sounds that are better or worse. They are samplers and its not the sampler, but what you put in there yo. The Z96 engine is the shit right now.
