I cant figure out how to re-organize the internal hard drive.

Two of the main things I can't figure out:

1) How do you move files into a new folder
2) How do you change folder names

Can these things be done only via the ak.Sys? If I am on a newer Mac that can no longer run ak.Sys do I have any options?

Create a new folder for each project or song. Save entire memory each time.

As far as changing folder names, I don't think that you can change the name without help from Ak.sysor an external drive. I could be wrong though.

You can change folder names from the load screen. When the desired folder is on the right of the split screen, move the cursor over it and hit the Window button. You'll see the title of the Folder is editable, just move your Jog wheel and it will let you change the name. The bigger the folder though, the longer the Folder Information window takes (IE to load up the Folder Information screen on my 7 Gig sample folder took like 50 seconds)....

As far as copying files... not exactly sure how to do it in the system. I know you can create new programs with your desired samples... then save them (Either the Multi with your program, or just your program) to your new folder but... that's all I can think of right now.

The MPC4000 operating system is a bit rubbish, in that it doesn't have a "copy" option.
What you need to do is load the files from disk into RAM memory, save them to a new folder, and delete them from their old location. Clunky!
It's less cumbersome if you use Ak.Sys to do it.
