copy & paste all tracks together is gone?

I cant find copy'n paste all tracks.. Only one track at a time.
In OS 1.5 this was possible!
Or am I missing something?

So, I want to repeat the first half bar of a 4 bar loop. Ive deleted the last three bars and erased the last half part of the remaining bar. Now I want to copy & paste that first half to the second part. Without having to copy & paste all tracks seperate.. Ive done this in OS 1.51, I cant imagin they left this option behind in OS 1.6. Or did they?

i wouldn't be surprised anymore....... the programmers at akai must be
on some shit acid or something...

I hope they havn't left this feature out...

Hi ikke,

You can copy bars in the bars field in MAIN. When you press the window key there, you can copy the first bar to the second bar. It has a repeat function as well. Not sure if this is of any help when copying a half a bar

Btw, how did you copy half a bar from all tracks to all tracks prior to 1.61?

I went to the step edit window. Pressed copy, all tracks, from location x to location y to another location x & y.
Now 'all tracks' is gone! Only track per track

So...
Go to 'step edit'. Set your cursor to 'all events'. Hit 'copy' (F3). You can set the copy range there and, before, in OS 1.51, you could set it to 'all or 0 tracks'.

never even knew we could do that..!! "copying of mutliple tracks" was one of the things we wanted to have in future OS, right .. humh ..this slipped me completely.. good ponit> this is defenatly a feature in the works ..

I think Ikke and me posted the same question at two minutes interval without knowing.

Must be a key feature that akai have forgotten or just taken out. As ikke
said I thought it was possible too.... I hope we can get an update soon as this is really important....

Akai mailed back yesterday, they said it was never possible in previous OS's..
I wonder how the bloody hell I did it than???!

I swear I did not first merge multiple tracks together and I defenitly did nt copy & paste all tracks seperate!
I think Akai is on acid or something!!

So, we got two thingies wich we want to see in the next update, guys!
One beeing this "copying multiple tracks to different locations" and the other beeing "merge sequences from different lenghts and time signature together".

EQ per part is a wet dream for us 4k users, as Akai is not considering to implement this..!

I hope they are going thru this board once and a while..!

Hi Andy !


well, you could do it like this:

copy the sequence to another sequence (to not destroy the original one)
Delete Bars in the end of the sequence by reducing the Bar number to 1.
Set the remaining bar number to 1/4 instead of 4/4.
(hit [window] on "bars" to enter this menu)

then you have a loop of the 1st 1/4.

but this does work only for the 1st 1/4.

Can you repeat that, deaf-mute? I dont get it...

this doesn't completely work as we would like it in the sense that it only affects the first quarter of a bar....

If you have a two bar loop at 4/4 time signature, first copy the original sequence to another sequence, then reduce the 2 bars to one
bar and by hiting the bars field, then window, then turn the jog wheel to make it one bar. Then change the time signature to 1/4... I think this is what he meant, I haven't tried it but that's the answer I got....
