Notes cut when using Note Repeat

Why are notes only half as long of the chosen quantized step value when using Note Repeat function? Am I doing something wrong? In other words what I want is a legato effect between notes.

Are the sounds mono/in the same mute group?

Thanks, MaZe for a response! Currently I am having problems powering up the unit properly so can't check about mute group thing but as it is only one and same sound repeating is it still relevant? And by mono you mean monophonic right and not mono/stereo sample? Just to be clear: by sound cutting I don't mean that next repeated note cuts the previous one but there is a silence between notes, silence being exactly of the same length as a note. So I just want to get rid of that silence so the repeated notes connect smoothly in legato like style. Is the silence normal behaviour or should the notes be triggered in legato style by default?

And yeah, forgot to say that the sound is not a drum one shot sample but a synth (instrument) sound that in normal mode (without the Note Repeat function activated) only plays until the key is pressed down.

you have the sample set to "one shot" and polyphony set to 1? this should ensure that the sample plays entirely and will only be truncated by itself.

Thanks, jimfowler! Will try the one shot and poly workaround but why by default there is silence between notes? Shouldn't the notes be long a full step of whatever quantize value I use and not just half?

In one shot mode, the sample will playback for as long as the sample duration. If you want it to sustain, you have to change the playback to loop and create a cross fade loop.

Hi, MaZe! I want to use note repeat on non-looped sampled instrument (keygroup program). All I want is the duration of repeated notes to be 100% length of the quantized value and not 50% with added 50% of silence. I am doin something wrong? Should by default repeated notes be of 50 or 100% length?

In one shot and mono, the sample will be 100% of the length and will get cut off by the next instance of the same note.

Ok, thanks! So, for "no loop" (not "one shot") samples there is a no way to do it and only 50% length I am getting is normal operation?
