erase notes/ or actually as its doing on mine erasing half of pattern out of nowhere...

it doesn't happen often I guess as I have over 120patterns in this remix I'm doing.. but still this bug has been erasing my patterns (dunno maybe done it 5 times now this remix session (that has taken well over 100 hours to complete so I guess it doesn't happen often, but dam two of my key patterns have now been erased half way through ..

so yhea please tell me you have the same problem,

a note that might be of relevant: I started this remix session running 1.52c and that was a know bug in that os, I'm still running the same data but in 1.6 .. maybe its fine on sessions written on after 1.6 ... dunno but this is getting to me ..

If ya copy/ cut 'n paste data. Set to merge instead of replace.

AKAI SAID THEY WOULD FIX THIS IN OS 1.60!! OFF COURSE, THEY DID NOT :?
They wrote this in the os1.60 text: * In SEQ EDIT, MOVE mode defaults to MERGE instead of REPLACE

LOL!!

Akai is full of it!!

120 Patterns!!!!... for a remix... :shock: you have to post that when it's complete (or at least a screen shot of the format for Song Mode)... I've done Scores with a gang of Patterns... but never a Song... how long is the song or extended remix? I'd love to see the Tempo Map for that.

Alright! thanks for clearing that up fellas.. I'm sure akais on it.. just glad it isn't just me

consering the remix.. sure I'll post it up, although all 128 patterns are full right now I'm only using like 50 in the actuall song, but yeah I'll def post it here, since it all done on the 4k ..

Hi, just thought that I'd post. I wouldn't assume that Akai is on it. If they wrote it is fixed, they
mostly feel that it's fixed. If you are seeing anything, I would advise to at least send a report
to [email protected] so that you know that an official report has been submitted. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will fix it, but I DO see them fixing more stuff reported
to them via their MPC4000 email address, then what is discussed on this forum.

Correct!
[email protected] is the official email address for all MPC4000 bug reports. If you want to send a report, please provide detailed instructions (step-be-step) to duplicate the issue.

FWIW, there was no Akai Professional presence in this forum. I am a member of DPS World (although originally a DPS24 forum, it also has an MPC4000 forum as several users have both units together), and David Whittle used to monitor and post on the MPC4000 Yahoo Group.

I just double-checked with V1.60 this and it appears to be working as expected, i.e.:
* press SEQ EDIT
* select notes with the cursors
* press MOVE
-> Move mode defaults to MERGE
(and there hasn't been any report of problems regarding this function during the Public Beta stage)

The bug that could cause tracks to be erased by mistake was fixed in V1.60:
* Using PASTE with Mode:REPLACE and Events:ALL deletes selected data on all tracks. Fixed

We have no other reports of tracks/patterns being erased by mistake with V1.60.
If you find something that is repeatable (i.e. not a user error), please report it as described above.
