For some **** reason i'm having some problem with the sequencing on my 4000. last night i was up till 4:30 in the mornig trying to figure this out. -OK say i have a sample and i wnt to place it right next to itself, like ** the second one will end short. So in seq edit mode i hit option and it gives you the option to play the notes, duration as played or tc value. I tried both and a number of other things but nothing seems to work. So then I said **** it and moved on to my drums, the same thing happened the second drum sample cut short if i placed them right next to each other. Please help, this has never happened before. _Thanx-

ould it be that your sounds are in the same mute group .. sounds that belong in the same mute groups cutthemselfs off.. the other thing is if notes overlap and only have a poly of 1 they might cut off the second note if it's the same note .. so you need to go into event edit and adjust the duration .. hope it helps..

Also try setting your samples to one shot, so that when you trigger it it will play to the end of the sample no matter what.

-I tried that but the problem is if you want to play any type of variation with the sample you can't.
- but i'm gonna try what Glide said and hopefully that will work? thanx for the feedback, really appreciate it. Have you guys had this problem?

The poly is at 64 and the mute groups are turned off. I still get the problem, the thing is it won't let you over lap the same note. it will cut the first one off, i also tried changing to keygruop and still the same result. the only thing i could figure out is to put them on different tracks, and when you do that you have to make them different parts also. Can anybody help me so my life would be easier. Thanx-

you cant play the same sound twice at the same moment! mpc cant, samplers cant, computers cant. Thats completely normal.
Workaround is to load the same sample twice.
Or to set the program so it plays the sample till the end ('as sample', I think)

Or, adjust the lenght from the first note, so it doesnt overlap the second. though this takes a lot of time.. :x
