why do so many peops hate the 4000?

compared to the other mpc's? is there a huge sound difference? is it more for electronical music? it seems to have outstanding functions compared to the older models. how is the sounds in your opinions? the groove? same basic concepts correct? thanks guys...

I CAN ONLY BASE MY RESPONSE ON THE MPC2000 WHICH I NO LONGER OWN AND THE 4000 WHICH I RECENTLY GOT MY HANDS ON.

I MYSELF HAVE HEARD NO MAJOR DIFFERENCE IN THE SOUND....IF ANYTHING, IT IS SLIGHTLY BETTER WITH THE 24 BIT..... I AM REALLY STILL LEARNING.

BOTTOM LINE, THE MACHINE IS GREAT... NO MATTER WHICH MPC YOU GET THE SOUND IS GOING TO BE AS GOOD AS YOU WANT IT TO BE. IT ALL HAS TO DO WITH HOW YOU USE IT...WHAT YOU RECORD ON, AND HOW YOU TWEEK THIS OUT FOR YOUR FINAL MIX..... I AM NOT A PRO AT THE 4000 OR RECORDING AND WAS NEVER A PRO WITH THE 2000. I JUST LOVE MAKING BEATS.

IN MY OPINION ALL OF THE MPC'S ARE ROUGHLY THE SAME.... THERE IS NO MAJIC TRICKS TO THE SOUND OF THE 4000..... IT HAS MORE FEATURES AND COASTS MORE MONEY..... I LOVE IT AND HAVE A LOT TO LEARN....

The sound of the 4000 is very clean (even in 16-bit). (what you get in you get out). It is not as phat as the 3000 BUT with the resampling effects it is very capable. Btw the effects are dope (very professional sounding).

I dont understand when people talk about the mpc's(2000,xl, and 3000) sounding different. I've owned the xl, nessed w/ the 2000 and the 3000, and now own the 4000. honestly, all these machines sound the exact same to me, w/ the exception of the quality of sound that comes from the 4000 when sampling in 24 bit... as far as the groove goes....they all sound the same(2000,xl,and 3000). I think alot of people smash on the 4000 cuz they cant see spending that type of dough on one.....look at the specs of this bad boy and compare it to the others.....this bad boy is no joke...go to a guitar center or something and judge it for yourself if you can get the chance...

The MPC4000 is an extremely complicated and intricate beast (IF YOU USE THE FUNCTIONS TO THEIR CAOPACITY)
You ca use almost none of the elaborate functions and make a few beats here and there.. or you can make complete intricate and very detailed compostions on it.. but it is complicated to learn and if your a first time user I'd suggest learning on the 2000 or 2XL first..
many MMPC users never even get into song mode but just make sequences and leave it at that.
People who "Hate" the machine probably cannot figure out the machine as it is complicated.
One vast improvement which Im surprised no one ever mentions is the advanced alphabetizzing features in the folder menues..
This makes finding your data a breeze.. even if you NEVER touch a computer in your music making mathods..
The machine finally has a real nice storage facility archive section which makes data organizing a snap
