Sample's BPM

what up y'all.
Can anyone tell me how you can find out the sample's bpm after you sample it so you can build your drum patterns around it and set the master/sequence's tempo to it?
What i'm doing now, and its a pain the ***, is guessing the bpm in the main page to a tempo i think is closest to the sample.

region > bpm

If you don't know the BPM of the original sample:
* In SAMPLE mode, TRM/LP or REGION page
* set the Start and End points so that they mark an exact number of Beats, for instance one or two bars.
If you use the LOOP points for this, holding down Pad 13 allows you to play the loop and check that the loop's timing is correct.
* change END into BEAT
-> this will display Beats/BPM instead of the End point in samples (or the legnth)
* adjust the BPM value until Beats show the number of beats you have selected (for instance, 4.00 for one bar, 8.00 for two bars, ...)
-> this will give you the exact BPM of the sample

Note that if you already know the exact BPM of the sample, you can use this feature the other way round:
* set the Start point
* change END into BEAT
* enter the BPM of the sample
* enter the number of Beats you want for this region/loop
-> this will set the End point accordingly

say the sample is a lil to fast an d I wanna slow it down then put my beat over it, how can I slow the original sample? I think its called timestretching? thanx

to slow without taking the tune out of the sample its timestretch ,yes

so how do I do that, how do you count the beats of the sample and then figure out the tempo of it, so that then I can put my beat over it?
