my mpc 1000 mounts as a usb drive on my mpc 4000.

i havent but i imagine it would work something like this: resample yourself on mpc4k, save sample as wav to mpc1k hdd, roll out!

Thats because the 1k becomes a big media device once usb mounted. You can do digital cameras the same way. The devices are universal slaves in usb modes.

yeh i was just unsure if there would be some weird incompatibility.
im super impressed with the mpc 4000's amenities so far. how did anyone use a sampler without these cool features?
