getting that 'studio d' sticker off without ruining paint

anybody got an idea how to do this?

The petrol/fuel used in zippo lighters will dissolve adhesive. I've used it to remove many stickers and the residue left behind.

i would try the hair dryer like debauch said, then goof off, lighter fluid, or nail polish remover to get the gunk off after.

awesome ill do it from the back side of the metal to avoid possible marking or discoloration.

nah, what you do is.. you get a credit card or a buss pass type of card... one that you don't really need is the best. You don't heat the metal until it's insanely hot... you just heat the sticker a bit, it should start to lift up on it's own. Then you can use the card to aid with glue removal if needed.

that is how my friend removes dealership brand stickers and bumper stickers at the body shop.

the hair dryer helped get the clear layer on top off, but the silver layer with the writing wouldnt budge. the only thing that worked with that layer was goof off. i think i should have tried goof off first.

there is a mark where the sticker was, and more of a mark where i used a very soft plastic sticker squeegee to attempt to lift the first layer. i doubt using only goof off would there be a sticker mark.

goof off should not come in contact with the red blue or yellow silk screened graphics next to the sticker area. they run easily.

im probably going to wax the whole metal skin to try to reduce the sticker mark... or maybe i should clear coat it? i wonder if theres clear plastidip
