can u burn save filez on ur cd/rw ?

i got the europian version. and a 40 gig harddrive
but can i save my songs on cd? i have a zip drive but thatz 2 slow for me..thanx for the info broz...

In save/load mode you can select `utility' which shows memory to CD
option. You can save/burn your song/multis/etc. to a CD-R/RW there.
Operating system 1.40 addendum describes this.

concoct a drum program in aksys and then save to cd on 4k, its too simple. i might start selling some cheap mpc4000 sample cd's

i got the 1.60 version but i dont see no memery on cd option here bro..

When you are in the Save or Load Page, then you select F2 "Utilities"
then Turn the Jog Wheel
so the "DO" field (which starts on DELETE)
says: "MEMORY TO CD"


Fill in the fields and select F6 (Do IT) and get a cup of coffee, unless you have a faster drive then

P.S. Now we just have to talk Akai into expanding the burning features a bit. I would love
to have a "Select" option when in the Save or Load windows , so that you can select
Folders and Files that you want burned, rather then just whats in Memory. I have
my contents organized fairly neatly into folders on my Harddrive, but whenI burn
it to CD, you have to load it into memory (hence loosing your folder organization) and then
burn memory to CD, which just puts all the files into one folder. I would love to be able to
select the folders and files from my harddrive via a select Tagged Feature and then go
to Uitility and Select "TAGGED ITEMS TO CD" or something like that.

Likewise, if they would improve the Ak.Sys software and allow us to burn from their,
we could select items to burn and burn them on the internal drive.

I don't have a PC Cd Burner, just the one on my Akai, so I back everything up, but loose
all the nice organization that I've put my time into.

As an FYI, both suggestions above 1) Burn Selected Items to CD from MPC itself and
2) Burn Selected Items to CD from Ak.Sys Window were just submitted to [email protected] as official RFE's (Request for Enhancements). We can't
guarantee that they will implement this (though we hope they are alway trying to improve
their product set to keep the gain on the competition), we can know that they are
aware these needs.
