what kind of files can 4000's read? , im thinking of getting one, and use a lot of wavs, Aiffs, and Mp3's

Just convert your MP3's to .WAV..

I'm actually surprised that more machines don't support MP3s. At a 10:1 compression ration the files are much smaller and when we blow them back up to WAVs we don't get any of our sound back so we might as well keep the small file right?
