Are MPC1000 sequences and programs compatible with the MPC4000 and vica versa?

Though I haven't tried it, somebody said that if you make an MPC-4000's program
a Drum program (not an Instrument one) then that will transfer to a MPC-1000.
Also sequences, are generally stored as a standard midi file, so that should be transferrable
without any problems.
So my guess, is that you could move over any programs that were "Drum Programs" and
the sequences with them, but will have to manaully make your Multi.
Someobody who has both, should send an email to [email protected] and
indicate that some sort of conversion shoud be made, though I do see the difficulties
of such a conversion due to the different options on each.

I imported a program from the 4000 into the 1000 and it worked, but couldnt get a program from the 1000 to work in the 4000.

Sounds like we're going to have to send an email to [email protected] and request
it as an official RFE. If the 4000 --- 1000 program were able to interchange with a bit of
tweaking, I could see myself justify an MPC 1000 , if my backs hurting from hauling the 4000
around

Importing MPC1000 programs in the MPC4000 is already in the list for a future update.

Great! Then there's no need to double an RFE then. I'm just glad to know that it's planned.
I can definitely see myself purchase an MPC1000 at some point, if the programs are
interchangeable.
