Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

i save all seq and samples and this creates a midi file
from aky. sy i save the file to my computer.
i then i play the file in win media and its sound like midi notes.
where is my beat i made.
could some one please help me out.
if i could get one of my beats to my car it would mean the world.

umm your beat was most likely samples?? or did you construct it all with midi? then your drumkits must be all mapped to general midi (GM), the 4k has a feature somewhere where it alies the mpc pad format to gm or summthin, u can c it in pad assign wych pads r set to what gm..

and non of my biz but if ya want to listen to it in your car why not record it as audio on cd or tape or whatever ..

the answer is simple...record your beat in record mode set to main out. record the whole beat and make it a sample. That sample is now a WAV file that can be transfered to your computer and burnt onto a CD to listen to in your ride...Someone on here taught me that a long time ago....
