Ram problem

I just bought a kingston ram, 168 pin- pc 133 dimm cl2. 128 meg
But my mpc wont recognize it.

Do anybody have tip?

I bought two 256MB Kingston modules and they both work perfect. They are labeled:
KVR100X64C2/256
(256MB PC100 DIMM CL2)
Could it be that you are using PC133?

This is what Sean from AkaiPro recently wrote about RAM in the dpsworld forum:

Another important parameter for the RAM is that it must be CL2 (sometimes listed as CAS 2). If tme memory is not CL2, it is not compatible.

Also, the MPC4000 cannot manage 256MB DIMM SD-RAM that are arranged as 256 Mbit x 8 chips (it is usually seen only as 128MB); therefore 128 Mbit x 16 should be used.

So, the specs are:
- 256MB
- unregistered 168pin DIMM (JEDEC standard)
- PC100 or PC133
- CL2
- 128 Mbit x 16

I think the most important thing is that it has to have 16 small "memory chips" and not 8.
Just a thought...
