Will any IDE drive work installed in the MPC 4000?

Hello.. I just got a 4000 with a broken CD drive. I want to upgrade. Can I just get any IDE drive? If not, what do I need to look for? Can you recommend a brand/model? Thank you.

If I remember correctly, any 40-pin IDE drive will work and the CD/DVD drive has to be set to SLAVE as the HDD is the MASTER.
Keep in mind if you install a DVD drive it will only read the DVD disc and not write/rewrite/burn to it.

or you could add a CF reader/writer and/or you could a SSD with IDE->SATA convertor
