Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000
By CharlesRandolph Tue Jul 30, 2019 3:25 pm
Went digging for some records and found a MPC 4000 for $200 USD at the Thrift Shop. The sign said, won't turn on. Bought it, opened it up, clean it out, removed the HD, reset the ram, unstuck the power button. Put it back together, plugged it in. WORKS! Every button, knob, dial, pads, audio input and output.

Has the effects card, Digital Card, CD ROM (Works), Hard Drive (Works). No ADAT or 8 Out, however I did order an 8 out from VST in Pasadena.
