Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

When I record a sample(playing guitar, etc) while Im playing back my sequence on my MPC4000, my FX do not playback. Typically I have a few midi tracks playing an external sound module and a few samples with FX playing inside the MPC4k, but when I start to record a sample from the inputs the FX do not play with my sequenced samples. Does this happen to everyone else? Is there a way around it? Thanks

if you mean the samples inside the mpc don't playback their fx setting if record mode is set to "analouge in" ..

then No my mpc plays the fx fine..

if your trying to record the guitar through Q-fx in record input wich uses a diffrent set of "4xfx" rather than "command fx" then maybe.. wait I'll cheek (the 4k is on ,

WOW!!!!!! you ca have a set of 4xFX on-top of the ones that are in multi... this is an indepentant DSP from the one used by Multi/program, this is a 2nd FX engine used in trim and record!, the MPC virtually has 8 busses of FX.. do I hear a HellYeah!!!

Hmm, I always assumed that using Q-fx during record would steal the fx away from the MULTI for playback. Are you sure that you're hear both the record AND the playback fx going?
