Midi out problem

My midi out works but it wont work when i press the play button on my mpc 4000 does work with a mpc 1000 can someone help

Probably a global setting for timing out or the like?

I just push the stop botton before hitting play and it works just once and it starts working.

I also noticed my samples sound better tge smaller they are how bout you do you think so?

short samples also save polyphony... and polyphony saves the earth
