I recently purchased a blue MPC 4000 (Plus Model from 2003) and am having a few issues regarding a few issues.
Firstly, the sample rate on the machine won't change. Every time I allow the machine to reboot to change the sample rate it stays at 44.1 khz and won't change to 48 or 96khz. I'd rather have it working at 96khz 24-bit stereo, it was the reason I purchased the machine in the first place.
I'm stating this second issue too because I have heard the two may or may not be linked. Which is the fact that the date and time cannot be changed in the global page.
And as if these issues weren't bad enough, Pad 12 also doesn't work, lol. These are all the issues I've noticed since purchasing the machine.
I have tried reinstalling the OS from the Akai site (v1.71) and also replaced the CMOS battery within the unit. But neither have fixed the issue. I'm hoping some of you on this forum will be able to help.
