1 gig sampling RAM in the 4k?????

Some dude experimented with his MV8000 and managed to stuff 1 gig of sampling ram in there. The limit advertised by Roland is 512mb. I wonder if this mod can be done on the 4K as well.

Anyone willing to take a crack at it????

You brought it up. Try it out? What does the book say?
Are you willing to possibly mess up your gear if something goes wrong?
Will you jump off the bridge if everyone else does it?

Be careful though, I'm sure you wanna keep your machine right?
