Mpc 4000 samples not showing up in machine

What's guys I have a sample in a wav file on a cd rw disc when I insert the disc it pop's up but the sample is not there what am I doing wrong. Should I just use a usb in if I do does the samples have to be in wav files to show up on the machine?

I think you might have wrong wav format and 4000 won't see it or you just didn't burn cd properly.

99% wrong format. I've never had a *.WAV file that didn't popup on the 4K, but I've had situations where the sample(s) simply wouldn't play.

If it's *.WAV, it HAS to pop up. If not, it's a different filetype. The mpc filters on *.WAV, not on KHz etc (TO SHOW FILES.) to playback files, is a different story.

If you can't SEE the file, can be 3 things at least:

Damaged index file on media (in this case a CD.)
Unsupported file system
Unsupport file type/format

every *.WAV, whatever the specs, should popup at anytime. If not, it's either not a wav of there is something else going on.

If it's a wav with different specs, it would show up fine but it just won't play..

(for the 2500 this is all different...)
