The first thing you need to do is to slave the mpc to protoos... sgo into the midi set up of protools and tell it to send mtc to the mpc. then put the mpc sync to external so that when you press play on pro tools or records, the
mpc starts at the same time.. then just solo the track you wanna record and hit record on PRO TOOLS. that way each track will be in sync and you won't have to move things around...
I do alll my midi sequencing in the mpc, then I just do tracking (recording each track to it's own audio track) that way I can get it sounding real tight with plug ins etc... then I always stick it back through my analog console to warm it up a little..
