I know that the max supported hard drive size for an internal IDE drive is 120gb, but what about external SCSI drives? I’ve ordered a SCSI2SD card, external box and cables but was wondering what size SD card to get. Is the 120gb internal drive limit the same for SCSI drives? What about USB drives?

i 've connected GB USB drives to the MPC4k
but of course SCSI is a total different protocol
i would start with 250MB (and upwards) SCSI drives/partitions, but since the MPC4k is so easy on SCSI/USB ROM drives, a 700MB disk is easily recognized, so that should be/pose no problem(s)

Using SCSI2SD V6 I have connected a 256gb SD card, so far have written 118gb to it without issue. I set the partition size to 230gb as I believe that is about the largest usable size for a 256gb card. All working well. I'm thinking of trying an even larger card (512gb or 1tb). Will let you know how I go if I buy one.
