Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi dear MPC4K Users,

I am bumping into this here and there in my workflow.

Example:
On Track1 I have a sequence of several "PAD A7" Midi-Notes. I copy these to Track 2 and now I want to change all of them into "PAD B12" Midi-Notes (for stacking the sounds of external Gear).
I can´t find any other way to change the Notes than "one by one" w/ the jog wheel.

Do you guys know of any better way to do it?

I hope I could make clear what my question is (English is not my Mothertongue)

Best from Cologne!

Is the question unclear, or does nobody know??
I looked kind of everywhere in this Forum, the Manual … so this is my last hope.
Would really highly appreciate somebody knowledge with this …

Thanks in advance!

Ok, so today I found it. It is another hidden gem of the 4K.

In Step Edit you have to choose in the lower part of the screen "Notes".
Then while using the "Move" Function you can decide either to move the "Time" of the selected Midi Notes or the "Pad" they are assigned to. This works only if you select "Notes" and not "All Events" or anything else.

All good then :-)

Love N Peace from Cologne!
