ok, so i'm runnin' 1.60 and all seems to be well. one minor fuss or ignorance thats bothering is:

let's say Bass1 is on pad A4, i then push 16 levels, then set it for tuning, now so long the sample is set to 'note on', i get my 16 levels but...if i set it to 'note off'-'as note on' i can't get 16 levels of tuning...it's just turns into 16 pads of the same tuning, i can get velocity and that's it.

one other thing: how to i set a sound up to be played as 'mono' only. i've found the 'mute groups' and see that i can resample and make my stereo sample into mono, but i was hoping there was a setting that'd allow me to just have the sample played as mono...thus, muting repetitive hits.

thanks in adance (hope i was clear)....she's such a beast!!

peace

I'm guessing that your sample is ALWAYS played back in the format you sampled/loaded it in as (stereo or mono). If you want a mono
sample can't you just make a copy and convert the copy to mono and/or vice versa?

yeah, i can do that but it seems unnecessary. in the mpc3k, mpc2k, and mpc1k when you go into the program mode you have the options of: poly or mono. you little just set your sample to its desired playback.

i'm still frustrated the a sample will only (to my knowledge) enter into 16 pad tuning mode the Play Trigger is set up to be: Note On. why in does 16 pad tuning became utterly useless when the Play Trigger is set to: Note Off?

i don't mind working around the mono/poly omitted feature, but i use 16 pad tuning mode all the time. am i missing something?

Work around it, look into creating key groups until you find a solution for your original problem, instead of banging you heard against a wall for now.

first issue - sorry no idea ...

stereo to mono: goto sample mode - edit - stereo to mono ... but i guess you only want to set the polyphony to 1 .... if so goto program, pitch, and set poly to 1 .... hth
