If the pitch of the lanes matches and conductive ends are on the same side (iirc and that‘s what the tech manual suggests) any such cable will do. (thickness does matter, too, but I didn‘t see any that were suspect in this regard)
In case your cable isn‘t broken but only has a worn out end (usually at the board side): it can be recovered by carefully removing the plastic isolation. (I‘ve done this on my 4k and can give some instructions if required)
Thanks buddy. Once my new LCD screen comes in I can determine if the culprit for the lines in the screen are the old screen or the ribbon cable. I was just trying to get ahead of the issue since I may have to hunt down the ribbon cable.
