I just tried to apply Q-FX on a sample in the Trim/Loop page, and compared the result with the original. The resulting resampled sample is much lower in amplitude, not good.
I tried it again with a cranked up Master Level in GLOBAL, but that didn't help.
Then I changed the dry/wet ratios of the effects used in the Q-FX. And guess what, when set to fully dry, the resulting new sample is as loud as the original. Sooo... the FX section is causing the level drop.
Here's my guess: the change in the FX gain structure that was done in V1.6, causing a +12dB boost in the FX return levels, must *also* be done for the Q-FX resample feature. Good chance that there's a 12dB level drop here.
Anyone have a fix for this? Or should this go as a bug report to Akai?
