ello! ive connected up a usb keyboard to my 4k. Makes labeling samples etc so much easier!! but i cant find all of the functions yet.
1. is there a way of mimicking the jog wheel function on the keyboard?
2. " " " " " the WINDOW opening key " " "?
3. Can u START, STOP, LOCATE the 4ks sequencer from the keyboard? (it does have the corresponding buttons on the keyboard but they do not seem to do anything)
ive figured out most of the functions by trial and error but need some help with these. better still; if any1 knows where to find any reference/mapping info that would b supakool! ta people!

Hi!

I snatched this from the DPS World MPC4000 forum http://pub52.ezboard.com/fdpsworldfrm5:

"Re: re: yahoo groups
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* The Data wheel action can be emulated with the + and - keys of the numerical keypad on the USB keyboard.
* Cursor keys are... the cursor keys.
* Block Cursors are Page UP/DOWN keys
* The WINDOW key is F12.

* The numerical key pad 0-9 is the numerical keypad and Enter is ENTER!
* F1-F6 are F1-F6

* On the USB keyboard, Alpha keys from G to W are matching the corresponding MPC4000 letter keys (letter under the MPC key). For instance:
- G is NEXT SEQUENCE and H is TRACK MUTE
- I is RECORD, J is SAMPLE, k is PROGRAM
....
- U is MAIN, V is SEQ EDIT, W is STEP EDIT

Sean W. is one of the guys at Akai, and really knows his stuff! Hope this helps. :)
