I recently purchased an MPC 4000 and I believe I have been scammed because the seller claimed that it can "make a beat" as long as the screen was repaired. So I repaired the screen and installed a custom made IB-48P card made by HelloGadgets on Reverb and I have noticed several issues with it.
1. The screen has vertical lines
2. The screen will become blank after the unit has been powered on for some time
3. No audio output on any of the outputs.
4. No audio input is detected when attempting to sample in any of the audio inputs.
5. The IB-48B and IB-4D cards are installed but are not recognized by the system even though they are connected to the appropriate board.
6. The SCSI interface will not recognize any SCSI compatible devices.
7. The foot switches do nothing when a foot switch is connected and in use.
I highly suspect that the issue is a faulty MPC 4000 BA-L4016A502A PC IO BLK board because most of the issues seem to be pointing to that. So my question is? Can this board perhaps be repaired/recapped by a professional? If so who do you recommend. Or if you know any other way to fix these issues, please let me know.
Oh, and by the way, the person who sold me the faulty MPC 4000 is called "Atlanta Hip Hop Gear Shop" on Reverb. Don't ever buy from this seller because it's clear that he is a scammer.
