TGIF to all my music-loving MPC heads!!
I recently got frustrated with my broken q5 q-link slider encoder and ordered some replacements off Reverb that claim they are an improved design. Thought some of you may be interested in that:

So now I have to do my homework on how to remove the PC Operation Block in order to solder these new parts on. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, the service manual doesn't really cover this. Cracking open my MPC the other night, I found the process is likely something like this:
1. Faceplate removal
2. Pad sensor tray removal
3. Removal of like 20ish screws from the PC operation block
4. Removal of a few connectors to the PC operation block (anyone have a list of all these to look out for?)
5. At that point, I should be able to lay the PC operation block facedown on a towel or something to protect the buttons and tact switches and resolder those new faders in.
Am I missing anything? Anyone been through the process before have any tips or tricks??
