actually i think you are refering to the way the old 200xl worked when you had mono, poly, and off. in the 4000 poly is {one shot }off is {as played} what you do is in the program edit screen select the sample the goto the part where the part where the number says 64. turn that number to one. then hit the zone tab and make sure its on oneshot. you should get the mono effect from the old machine

Can anyone shead some light on this? I have already turned all my samples to one shot, but they still over lap when played fast.

I want to go from poly to mono like how I use to on the 2kxl.

I have tryed adjusting the attack time in the program window, but its not the same effect that i use to get on the 2kxl.

If someone could give me a page to look up in the manuel that would be cool, I cant find it.

Thanks.

never mind I got it.

Goto program list, press f2,( KG mix) then f3,( pitch) hit pad, cursor to poly and change from 64 to 1.

Is Sean W. still on this board? He was a big help. I finally decided to try and learn the 4k, I just cant seem to let go of my 2kxl se2. I could use the money right now too, but I love that thing too much even tho the 4k is a better sounding mp.

"Empty your glass to fill it up player" change from the 2xl way of thinking. Master the gear player just like you mastered the 2XL. And it will make you a believer. The key is do you believe in yourself or you going to let something new intimidate you to go back down mountain. Just comit unless you got it no matter how long it takes. :D
