does any drive work im tryiong to install my pionner a04 dvdr cdr but it wont regognize ?? i just want to try and see if it works im oplannin on buyin a regular cdr for it but what types can i use on the 4k

I'm using some cheap dvd drive in my mpc4k since I have it (got it when it released), allways worked

It won't write DVD's , but will allow you to read them, yes.

ohh ok
thats usefull, because i could then back-up all my samples on a DVD.

another question, can the mpc burn on CD-RWs???

Mine does, I have to "Format" the CD-RW and then I can write to it.

Of course, you would have to have a CD-RW installed or hooked up for that to work.

I was just referring to using the CD-RW for the first time.

Nope, you burn CD's in sessions. So you format once and then write to it until it's full.
SO you can write as many times as you want.

THen when you want to reclaim the CD-RW then format it and you can start again.
