can the 4k properly read 2000xl zip disks through scsi?

? i have tons of beats saved on my mpc 2000xl and if i get a 4000 i would sell my 2000xl....but i would still need to be able to load up those old beats


is this possible?

I have a friend in the same situation - I've got a 4000 and he's on the 2000xl. I think there's no problem with the format itself, but his collection is on floppy, so I presume he just needs to buy a USB floppy drive (el-cheapo) when he gets his 4000.

I was able to transfer songs from the 2000 XL just fine,but for some reason I couldnt properly get files from a regular 2000.

i need more responses one way or the other to be sure....anyone else?

working on a song now that was organally made on a XL loaded fine via akaisys through scisi, everything is there exept the FX, the filters and envelopes needed a little tuning but just becouse of a personal prefrance, but overall its a very faithfull represantation of the my 4yrea old song in everyway .. I've heard somewhere that 16level tuning isn't always on spot, but so far its been all good..

this is as good as you are going to get
