I'm using zip 100 i thinkits the'98 model, a stellar unit I tell u..

but I did get beamed into the future this Xmas, and now I'm working with a USB Key, just pop that into the front usb keyboard port and vanilla Ice, if you get one like mine it will create a light show when saving/loading: yeaahhh something for the ladies ..(god that nothing calls out romance more than a flashing usb key...

256mb ... now I always have my work folders on my key-chaine then save only the final to HD, then just erase and repeat with next sessions, and it can be read my any usb2.0 PC/mac .. now my trusty Zip is just in the show room with my Moogs and Arps :D

Thanks glide. I was asking about these drives strictly for ressurecting purposes. Namely old MPC 2000 floppy's and MPC 2000XL Zip 100's & 250 disks. I've been using the 4000's CD drive to burn file back-ups. I don't plan on ever going back to any of the previous formats. But that is a cool idea about transferring files through a USB Key - i never thought of that.
