Mpc4k How to Q&A Hint, for the Newbies.

Question:


If you have 10 tracks recorded at 4 bars and then you decide you want
them all to be 8 bars, is there a way to copy and paste the 4 bars
for all tracks at the same time? Or can you only copy and paste the 4
bars 1 track at a time. Alot of times I start recording small tracks
and then I make longer ones so I have to go back and duplicate the
smaller tracks. If theres a way to do this or if there are any tips
to make this process faster it would be great.



Answer:

Easy solution. On the sequence you are working on, move your cursor
to highlight the number space next to, the [Bar:]on the main page of
the mpc4k. Hit the window button. Now you will see, [Bar: Insert]. Change
insert to copy. Leave the [First Bar: 1] as 1 and change the [Last Bar: 1]
to 4. At the [After bar: 1] Change that to 4. Select how many copies you desire.
If you leave [Copies:] at 1, than you will change a 4 bar sequence to
a 8 Bar sequence with all the tracks copied as well. 2 copies give
you 12 bar sequence. 3 copies gives a 16 bar sequence and so on...
