Akaipro America web site up now

Looks like AkaiPro America's website is up now, though no sign of English
OS 1.7 notes yet :)

Looks good though. I think the MPC 4000 info in the Products pages
are pretty nice. Much easier to read and see the benefits of the MPC.
Also like their FAQ pages as well.

I like the FAQ where they show that the MPC 4000 is a Pattern Based
and Linear based sequencer. Just depends on how you use it. You need
Linear patterns, well then make your sequence Linear , and make it longer.

Good News,

I called the contact telephone numbe(answered first ring). I was connected right away with a rep. The rep then gave me a number for a retail sales rep to call.


I was just trying to find out when akai products are retuning to market. I am very happy with the response of the infrastructure at nu-mark. The phone system got me where I neede to be in less than a minute.

I hope this is a good sign, because I was beging to give up on my beloved Akai. I thought there was not going to be an akai any more.


Now I can finally get my dps24, I am gladed I waited.

It is good to have you back AKAI.

typical moronic crap-ass style sheet on that Akai US website,
that squashes all the content in the top left hand corner of my big screen. :?

Just because the website sucks, doesn't mean they are cheap bastards.

For all you know they payed $10,000 to basementmarketing for the redesign.


You can pay for really bad work in this country, just as much as you can pay for good work.

It is much better then the "Website coming soon" page that was their before this :)

Personally, I like the Lynx days where all websites were text based. At least I could find
what I was looking for. Now with all of these Flash driven sites, I'm spending more time
watching "commercials" then finding out the raw data that I went their to find out.
(not saying the Akaipro America site is flash driven, just making a comment on today's
web that has been weaved)

guys ... if you really wanna see a bad site you must check out the one of akais italian parner ... they got a history section there where the one from akai ends in 1999 with the 2000xl to come for the new millenium!!! ... and another one where one should be able to download akai documentation which is apparently soon to come ...

if i m lookin for somethin for the 4k i either look up akais international site, the italian (well i used too - i gave up a long, long time ago) the german or the us one ... and mostly i end up at the german one coz i think its the bestone ... they have all info and downloads and there is some stuff i never seen on akai international or us ... the site is mainly written in german but some downloads are in engoish so check out the 4k download section there once awhile... for example tested drives for akai stuff ...
