Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Okok, u know when you create a song
and the mixer and cc data is all over the place
though-out many different patterns in song mode,

well on the first pattern I’d like the MPC to send
and receive a sysex command from itself like: a
snap shot picture of what state the mpc is suppose-to
be in when starting the song.

How do I go on about doing that?

And yes I will download the “all of a sudden holy” manual,
but if someone here does this frequently I’d appreciate the heads up,

I bet many would like to know this, as this is works ike a mixer and program sene memory,
so I can’t see it a bad thing to have a thread for it in the forum....

Thx!

The SysEx reference PDF is a bit heavy going
(and out of date again -
I managed to get them to update it for OS 1.50, but it didn't last)

But anyways, no, I don't recall any SysEx facility to do that.
But I could be wrong..... have a rummage yourself.

why I think its ... its .. why its humor !!!

brrrrrwwww...... ooh there it goes...

flew right past you female 1 ...

maybe you should get a sence of it!!,

Thanks for trying to help out.. but be a little more confident, it was a joke not aimed at you, I thought we could all as members have a laugh at it, there you are trying to make an effort but the only thing that’s gets recognized is, “it’s a witch lets burn it” scenario

your bad mate !!

Er, like,
I know that in Montreal,
the only humour they have is Terrance and Philip jokes about who farted,

but NONETHELESS,
I think you MIGHT have been able to guess that me suggestion to
use a séance to deduce the SysEx strings was actually NOT
serious but instead an employment of sardonic jesting,
AN JOKE, IN FACT

I'm not going to feed the Trolls,
I'm not going to feed the Trolls,
aaww ...
and I thought you Irish guys could drink
beer with both your arms torn off but
I guess you just left your tampons at home :D

ok it was very small cute troll ..

please use your emotions right..
it might help,

and thanks again for your effort!

Ok its on the wishlist:

Mixer

***Sene Memories

---In mixer mode---
let F3 soft keys be labeled “seen”
when pressed a similar window to the mute windows pops up.
select a pad and hit do it (F6) and the seen is stored on that pad
there should also be an option here to name the sene

Follow up on Sene Memories…

---In Mute window---
F1 & F2 soft keys twiggle between two pages and
since there are no available soft keys in Mute window,
I would recommend combining
F1 (TrkMute) & F2(Edit)
to just (F1)
in Mute page F1 = (Edit page)
and
in Edit page F1 = (TrkMute)

F1 will now flicker between the two pages
one soft key instead of two

(F2) soft key is now free to be used as: MixSene

Pressing F2(MixSene) access a screen window
Similar to the seq trigger & mute windows
but for mixer sene (mute memories) and can
be preformed and recorded just like mute events
